Warranty Agreement
Paint My Cabinets is proud to offer a five-year workmanship warranty on our services. If you experience any issues covered under this warranty, please contact us promptly to address them.
Important Notes on Warranty Activation
- It takes 30 days for your cabinets to fully cure and harden. During this time, we will provide specific care instructions, which must be followed. Failure to adhere to these instructions will void the warranty.
- The warranty will only be valid if the following conditions are met:
- Full payment has been made to Paint My Cabinets.
- The original contract paperwork is retained by the customer.
- The original receipt of payment is retained by the customer.
- The provided 30-day “Cabinet Care Plan” is strictly followed.
If paint failure occurs due to our workmanship, we will provide labour at no cost and respray the affected areas.
Warranty Coverage
Covered Issues:
- Peeling, flaking, or blistering caused by workmanship errors.
Not Covered:
- Damages caused by pets, children, or other external factors, such as items being banged into cabinets. While our finishes are highly durable, they are not impervious to such incidents.
To illustrate, when you purchase a new car, if a stone chips the paint while driving on the highway, it is not the responsibility of the dealership to warranty the chip. Similarly, any damage caused by external factors unrelated to the paint application will not be covered.
This warranty applies to sprayed cabinets only, which include doors, drawers, light valances, crowns, and gable ends that can be transported back to our spray facility.
Repairs Under Warranty
- Only areas listed on the original work order will be repaired.
- Doors, drawers, light valances, crowns, and gable ends must be inspected, and any repair requirements documented and quoted on the final invoice. Warranty repairs are limited to the described work in the original scope.
- Touch-up paint will be provided for fixed, non-removable items, but these items are excluded from this warranty.
Additional Conditions and Exclusions:
- Wood panel doors may develop hairline cracks over time due to natural humidity changes. This is a natural occurrence and is not covered under warranty.
- Pre-existing issues, such as dings, dents, scratches, sanding flaws, knots, and other material defects, are not covered.
- The warranty covers labour only; the cost of paint, primer, and materials will be the client’s responsibility.
Exclusions
The following are excluded from this warranty:
- Work completed using paint provided by the customer (unless agreed to in writing).
- Previously painted cabinets.
- Surfaces or areas noted in the proposal as “impossible to guarantee.”
- Areas with moisture issues, pooling water, or mold/fungus caused by environmental factors.
- Work not paid for in full or within seven days of completion.
- Plastic surfaces, galvanized metal, or Thermofoil/melamine surfaces.
- Damages caused by chemicals, grease, ink, or other penetrating substances that compromise the integrity of the finish.
- Rotten wood or caulking used to fill bridging paint.
Non-Transferability
This warranty is exclusive to the original customer and cannot be transferred to another individual or entity.
Thank you for choosing Paint My Cabinets. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction and the long-lasting quality of your cabinets. For any questions or concerns regarding this warranty, please contact us directly.
